On March 25, 2025, Hao Peng, Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of People’s Congress of Liaoning Province, met with the delegation led by Frank Stietz, COO and Member of the Board of Managing Directors of the Heraeus Group, in Shenyang. Frank Stietz visited Liaoning for the inauguration ceremony of the Heraeus Group’s new quartz and semiconductor manufacturing plant.
Hao Peng extended a warm welcome to Frank Stietz and his delegates. He also congratulated the Heraeus Group on the inauguration and operation of its new quartz and semiconductor manufacturing plant. He stated that the Heraeus Group, as a diversified and globally renowned technology company, has continuously expanded its investment and cooperation in Liaoning in recent years. In particular, after the new quartz and semiconductor manufacturing plant starts operation, its production capacity will be tripled. The plant will vigorously promote the improvement and upgrading of Liaoning's integrated circuit equipment industry. Currently, guided by President Xi Jinping's crucial instructions, Liaoning is fully implementing the three-year action plan for revitalization and new breakthroughs in all aspects. Liaoning’s economy has registered an increasingly improved performance with good momentum for growth. Owing to the fact that Liaoning’s economic growth rate has consecutively outpaced the national one in the past two years, Liaoning has set the goal of achieving a GDP growth rate over 5% this year. Liaoning is confident in maintaining a continued favorable momentum of exceeding the national rate, and achieving a decisive success in the three-year action plan. The integrated circuit equipment industry in Liaoning has witnessed a remarkable progress in recent years. It is hoped that the Heraeus Group will leverage this advantage and take the operation of the new manufacturing plant as an opportunity to attract more upstream and downstream companies, particularly more foreign-funded ones, to start business in Liaoning. Therefore, they will increasingly strengthen the equipment manufacturing industry in Liaoning. At the same time, it is hoped that the Heraeus Group will consolidate cooperation with Liaoning in precious metal recycling, renewable energy, healthcare and other emerging fields, aiming to jointly open up new areas and new arenas, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results. Liaoning will continue to optimize the business environment, build a better platform, and create more favorable conditions for all enterprises to invest and develop in Liaoning.
Frank Stietz expressed his gratitude to Liaoning for its support to the Heraeus Group and commended Liaoning on its latest heights in economic and social progress. He stated that in 2023 Secretary Hao Peng led a delegation to visit Germany and had in-depth and pragmatic exchanges with the senior management of the Heraeus Group. Both sides reached a consensus to press the "fast-forward button" for deepening the cooperation. Today the inauguration and operation of the new manufacturing plant stands as a tangible outcome of the cooperation. Liaoning’s development is bursting with full vitality and vast prospects. Enterprises in Liaoning have been more than satisfied with the current business environment and work efficiency.
